How I was introduced to CrossFit: Lindsay Vickery convinced me to come in and try a workout at UCCF and I haven't looked back since!
My favorite WOD/ exercise is: I have to say it would be any of the strength training exercises. I love that feeling of posting a WOD or a movement into BTWB and seeing that little lightening bolt telling me I just made a PR.
If I never had to do this exercise again I would be psyched: Pistols. End of story. Just pistols.
My favorite cheat food/meal is: Two words. Ice Cream.
My proudest accomplishment is: Wow. There are many, but I have to say that I was absolutely ecstatic when I hit that chain link at the top of the rope when I got my first rope climb. (That, and being convinced to quit smoking a year ago!)
My six month goal is: While I have a number of them, I would have to say getting some kipping added into my work on the rig. I'd love to be able to string together some toes to bars and some pull-ups. If I did that, I think I might cry tears of joy.
If I created a WOD and named it after myself, the workout would be: I think I'd have to say a 15 minute AMRAP of hang cleans, med ball sit-ups, box jumps, and a rope climb thrown in there. One that really keeps you moving.
What I love most about UCCF: The friends I've made. The community. The feeling of strength I get after a killer WOD. The support. That it's become my happy place. The coaches. The offers (and actually showing up) to help me move. The inspiration to keep moving forward. The feeling of walking into any class and feeling totally at ease doing what I can. Truly feeling that the only person I'm competing against is me and that everyone else is there as inspiration, incentive, and drive to better myself as a person and as an athlete. (And that because of UCCF, I just referred to myself as an "athlete".)
