At the end of the Open we received the following "Kindness" note: "Can I please nominate Donna Look for not just athlete of the month, but athlete of the year? Watching her compete in the Open, especially push through 16.5 (all the while smiling) was so inspiring. She makes me want to work to be the best athlete I can be."
How I was introduced to CrossFit: Dawn Rebello got me to join CrossFit. It took a LOT of persuading.
My favorite WOD/ exercise is: I don't know if it's just the holiday spirit that gets me for this one but I really get excited about the 12 days of Christmas WOD. It's very hard, but after it is over I feel like I made a huge accomplishment.
My favorite type of WOD (AMRAP, RFT, Chipper, Etc.): I like the chipper Wods!
If I never had to do this exercise again I would be psyched: Hands down the Open 16.5 Wod. I NEVER want to do that again!
My favorite cheat food/meal is: Pizza, chips and dip, cheese and crackers My proudest accomplishment is: making it through the Open alive.
My six month goal is: Get better at my double unders.
My three favorite movements are? Push press, toes to bar, clean
What I love most about UCCF: The camaraderie between everyone is my favorite part about CrossFit. I feel like I am on a team. If I am having a bad day I can always count on going to the box and be surrounded by positive people and my whole attitude changes. Everyone supports and pushes everyone to be a better athlete. I appreciate all the time and effort all the coaches take to make me a better athlete.
Josh keeps getting stronger everyday and continues to impress with his firsts, especially his first muscle up recently, which was a strict muscle up no less.
How I was introduced to CrossFit: I was introduced to CrossFit from my wife Donna. She would constantly tell me how great it was, but I resisted signing up. Finally, my friend Josh went to an elements class so I decided to tag along and I've never looked back.
My favorite WOD/ exercise is: My favorite Wod is Linda. I like the combination of the Bench Press, Deadlift, and Clean in a workout.
My favorite type of WOD (AMRAP, RFT, Chipper, Etc.): I'd have to say RFT
If I never had to do this exercise again I would be psyched: This is an easy one..overhead walking lunges. Those things kicked my butt in the open wod 16.1.
My favorite cheat food/meal is: Oreo's
My proudest accomplishment is: Sticking with CrossFit for a year and a half. I've never stuck with an exercise program for this long...which is a testament to how great CrossFit can be!
My six month goal is: To improve on the Snatch.

What I love most about UCCF: What I love most about UCCF is the community aspect of it. From the first workout I completed to the last one I completed, there was someone there pushing me to finish. UCCF wouldn't be what it is without the awesome people that are part of it!
