How I was introduced to CrossFit: A very good friend of mine had been telling me that I should try CrossFit and it would be something he thought I would enjoy. Then coincidentally I met Amy outside of the box the next day and asked her some of the stereotypical questions about CrossFit. She told me to come in and try it out.
My first WOD was Dirty Thirty, after that I was hooked!
My favorite WOD/ exercise is: EMOMs
My three favorite movements are: Rowing, Wallballs, Back Squats.
If I never had to do this exercise again I would be psyched: Running. I would be happy if I never ran again.
My favorite cheat food/meal is: Pizza and Ice Cream… oh and bread… If possible I would just eat loafs of bread for all my meals and snacks. Honestly I am a “Carbavore”
My proudest accomplishment is: Being able to write RX on the board twice in one week. Those two little letters are so addictive.
My six month goal is: Strict Pull Ups and Double Unders (without whipping myself in the back of the head every time ideally).
If I created a WOD and named it after myself, the workout would be: EMOM for score: Wallballs/Box Jumps/Row For Calories/Push Press
What I love most about UCCF: It's been said before and I will say it again, but THE PEOPLE are what makes UCCF so amazing. From the Coaches who have pushed me to become a better version of me and kept me motivated instead of feeling awful when I couldn't accomplish something, to the success that is shared when anyone accomplishes a “goat” they have been working on. UCCF embodies what a “community” should and can be.
