How I was introduced to Crossfit: My friend Martha Lally convinced me to give it a try, she said I would love the daily "wods" (at the time I had no idea what she was referring too!) I was getting tired of the same old routine at the gym so I came to UCCF one Saturday am and haven’t left yet!
My Favorite WOD/Exercise: As much I hate to admit it, "12 Days of Christmas” . Its long & extremely challenging for me, and only happens once a year! Also, Love the Saturday AM Partner WODS!!!
If I never had to do this exercise again I would be psyched: Squat Snatch….Just can’t seem to drop under the bar.
My Favorite Cheat Food: My Moms Cupcakes
My Proudest Accomplishments: Over the past year there have been a few at UCCF for me. I managed to get a “couple” DU’s. I FINALLY got Pull-Ups!!!! And when finishing 2015 with the New Years Eve WOD rx’d (well minus the unbroken 31 DU’s, but my version of RX) gave me the most amazing feeling!
My 6 month goal is: Double Unders!!
If I created a WOD: It would be a Partner WOD AMRAP 30 minutes Run 200m, 20 Pullups, Run 400m, 30 Wall Balls, Run 200m, 20 Pullups, Run 400, 40 KBS.
What I love most about UCCF: Walking through the door every morning and feeling the positive energy of our amazing coaches and athletes. The camaraderie, encouragement and support of the UCCF community is what makes our Box so great.
